[TEMPLATE]clickbanks[/TEMPLATE] For everyone who has at any time had a Beagle you understand that they may be quite the persistent canine. If you might be a new Beagle master, you should be aware that Beagles are usually little more persistent when compared with other dogs. Therefore you should keep that in the mind when you begin your Beagle dog training. If you wish to train a new beagle the correct way you will want to own a single key trait: you'd require plenty of patience with your beagle training methods.
Do not forget that the Beagle type of canine friend originated as being a cross canine involving several other breeds of hunting dogs back in Britain. In line with records, the beagle was designed for just one specific intent - to track. Getting bred for ages as hunting dogs is certainly exactly what provides the Beagle his stubbornness. Hunting dogs possess a more powerful sense of smell then some other dogs as a result they will most certainly be attracted to every brand new aroma that comes to their nose. This may trigger you to get discouraged with all your beagle obedience training.
While teaching a Beagle you should teach him or her the basic commands foremost. These types of simple commands are Sit, Stay, Heel, & Lay Down. Almost all pet dogs, not only beagles demand training within their lifestyle. Canines are pack animals, and they will follow you exactly where you go, so it will be able to convenience you ultimately to show your current Beagle these types of simple instructions. Beagles often react very effectively to food gifts. You may also use a favourite toy as providing encouragement while engaging in your beagle training.
One excellent word of advice I might share with just about any Beagle pet owner would be to direct their beagle training toward taking care of your current canines begging. As stated prior, Beagles make use of a powerful good sense of smell, meaning they're going to always be exactly where your meals are. When beagles are close to meals they will carry out several tasks as to attempt to obtain your interest, and the food certainly. They'll weep or maybe whine at you, jump, stand on their own hind legs, and additionally pretty much whatever else to try and have itself a little treat. Plus lets not ignore your own Beagle providing those large puppy dog eyes!
Some other beagle training advice I would like to give any kind of owners is, beagles are incredibly energetic pups. They like to run around as well as play and if you don't provide training for your current beagle appropriately at the start, you will be in for a problematic time when they mature seeing that your own beagle is going to be set in his methods for good. Setting yourself along with other members of the family as pack leaders really should be a vital element of your current beagle training from the beginning. When ever your Beagle effectively follows your commands praise the dog for it, as well as take action all the time. Beagles get terrific gratification in being able to gratify their particular owners.

If you are the owner of an aggressive dog then it will be important for you to recognize the signs of aggression. Dogs can become aggressive for many reasons, check over the possible reasons below to see if any of these apply to your dog.
Medical Condition - Dogs can be aggressive when in pain, just like humans. Take your dog to the vet to get checked out for any possible medical problems that can cause aggression.
Pack Leader Problem - Your dog may think he is the alpha male in your pack. If this is the case then you may want to be firmer during your aggressive dog training to let your know dog you are the pack leader and he is just a follower.
Fear - Your dog may have an anxiety problem which causes him to lead a fearful life. Fear will cause any dog snap, or growl at any family member, stranger, or other dogs. If you think you have an anxious dog please see your local vet.
Aggressive Owner - If you yourself is an aggressive owner who promotes aggressive behavior than without a doubt your dog will retain these aggressive techniques. Your dog will be aggressive towards family members, strangers, and other dogs.
Aggressive Dog Warning Signs
Every dog has the ability to bite if driven to that point. A good thing for us dog owners is that dogs will almost always give you a few warning signs for acting aggressive. These warnings signs will tell anyone near him that he is not in a good mood so you better back off. If a dog is going to become aggressive they will often times growl, snap, show their teeth, or have their ears pinned back. Some other typical signs of approaching aggression can include a hard stare with large eyes, panting, a stiff body, or hair standing up on their back.
If your dog is showing any of these signs DO NOT punish him for it. Punishing a dog for giving you a warning sign will show him you don't care about his warning signals. That means in the future your dog won't give you any signs and will just attack without warning. By yelling at an aggressive dog you can almost encouraging his aggressive behavior. Dog react to your reactions. If you get really emotional, and scream and yell, your dog will respond with his own high emotions. He may not be doing it to harm you because he is just matching your emotional high.
If your dog is fearful, anxious, or nervous by nature yelling at him for will only cause more fear in him and this will lead to aggressive behavior and possible injury to you or others. If you have an aggressive dog please act fast to correct this problem. Not only will an aggressive dog endanger you and your family, but you can run into legal issues with an aggressive dog, which could lead to you having to put your beloved dog down.
Every expert dog trainer will always recommend new dog owners start their dog obedience training early. The right time to start training your pup is anywhere between birth and 6 months of age. Being able to train your dog by the 6 month mark is crucial to your dogs future behavior. By socializing your young puppy to many different types of people and other animals, your dog will understand that people are good. It will teach your dog not to fear people and therefore help reduce the risk of aggressive dog behavior.
If your dog does happen to display aggressive behavior what you should do is let out a loud, firm "No". Remember you do not want to yell, but you want to be firm and try not to let your emotions get to high. Once you get your dogs attention with the firm "No", then you an perform what is called a "time-out". A time-out is when you place your dog in a room and close the door for about 30 seconds to a minute. After a few times you dog will comprehend that when you acts out he will be put away from you, the pack leader, and he will correct his behavior.
While your dog is playing with his toys, it is never a good idea to start a "tug-of-war" game with him. All this game does is encourage your dogs aggressive behavior. Your dog will think that this type of aggressive behavior is appropriate and continue it.
If your dog is aggressive towards other dogs while on a leash, one tip is to give a firm tug on the leash, or a firm "No" to get his attention. You want your dog to look up at you and away from the other dog. You want him to understand aggression towards other canines is not healthy behavior.
If you are an owner of an aggressive K9 then I hope this blog post has helped you in anyway. I have provided a video below for you about training aggressive dogs. Please leave some comments and let me know what you think.

So you’re either in the unfortunate situation where you, some one you know, or a family member has received a dog bite or maybe you’re just curious of what steps to take in the case of this kind of situation. Well there are different types of dog bites, some are really bad, some are just minor injuries, and then there’s everything in-between.
The first thing you need to do is assess the situation and see what step needs to be taken next, you will most probably be able to assess whether the dog wound is serious enough for hospital straight away, or if you are the stubborn sort then if bleeding doesn’t stop within 15 minutes or so then you will need the hospitals help.
Other situations when you may need to see a doctor or go to hospital are if you think the bone may be broken, if the dogs bite is deep or gaping, if signs of infection are starting to appear like fever or wound puss, or if you have not received your tetanus injection in the last 5 years.
All the cases above could lead to much more serious problems than you might think and are all seriously recommended procedures for dog bites.
If your dog bite is serious enough to warrant hospital, then on your way to the hospital or until you get to see a trained professional about your wound you should keep firm pressure on the wound to stop any bleeding, and trying to clean out the wound of any dirt may be a good idea.
When you get to the hospital or medical department, they will need to know current medication and must know of any allergies that may affect the patient’s condition. Along with this they may need or you may want to tell a figure of authority where this attack happened, if the dog was provoked and if anyone else may be in danger so local authorities and laws may be contacted.

What's to be done with the active golden retriever that is hooked on biting clothing and on jumping on people? The average dog can be noticed growing more agitated with its jumping and nipping if it does not get people to play with it or in general when it does not get its way.
Whether its Golden Retriever Training or any other dog training, prevention is the best cure of course. First of all, the dog may be distracted by long sleeves and any dangling pieces of wardrobe. So keep tucked, tied, folded and-or hidden all those belts, ties, long hair, etc.
The practical solution for our landshark-dog problem is to suddenly "freeze" and turn into a statue, looking away, when a dog misbehaves. When it sinks its teeth in, say No Bite in a serious but not emotional tone. But if the dog displays desirable behavior such as sitting or standing on all fours, things return to normal and you can have fun again with the dog.
Interestingly, most of the advice here can also be tried to remedy a dog that is mainly into nipping ankles, fingers and any square inch of human skin within mouth's reach. With nipping, the main point is to discourage the dog or puppy by letting out the yip similar to that of a hurt puppy, then giving the dog the cold shoulder. With that, it understands that it better behave, or else it gets ignored.
To go on, a good no-no to remember is to not yell at the dog when it bites, since the dog may even get more agitated and more confused.
Its also good to try wearing some old clothes in order to teach the dog that biting your clothes makes you freeze. Do this together with an alternative behavior, and soon you may see it stop.
Another solution is to ask the dog for alternative behavior, which then results to a nice treat. In other words, divert the dog's energy into a behavior that you find desirable.
Timeouts is the third option you may want to try out. If ignoring does not work, try putting the dog in another room for a short time out (about a minute). On some occasions this has actually worked to eliminate jumping and nipping in some dogs.
Again, another important Golden Retriever Training tip to remember is that a crate must never be a time place; all crate training falls apart the day the dog is made to see the crate as something negative. Rather, why not use a bathroom, or the laundry room as a time out place?
Keeping the dog preoccupied with other commands may also help. Try practising sit, stays, and reward the dog for doing such instead of focusing on staving its jumping on you.
